Project Guatemala began in 2002 with the Fargo-Moorhead Rotary Clubs and the Clubs of Rotary International District 5580. Projects include: water projects, a clinic and pharmacy, building schools, providing books for libraries, and building a paramedic/fire station. These projects are funded by personal donations, Rotary Club donations, sales of Guatemalan coffee, and matching grants. No money raised is used for labor costs to build the structure or administration costs. Travelers use their own funds to participate in the projects.
